Nasarawa State FA Redeems FA Cup Pledges to Winners




It was a beehive of activities at the Nasarawa State Football Association Board room as the Champions and the Runners-up of the 2024 FA got their monetary rewards in cash.

Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima had earlier disclosed that for the first time in the history of the state, there would be monetary rewards for the two finalists.

FC Basira and Nasarawa United both got to the final as FC Basira edged the solid miners to defend its title.

A cash reward of N200,000 and N100,000 naira was handed to both FC Basira and Nasarawa United representatives respectively as Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima says his administration would continue to protect the interest of the round leather game in Nasarawa state.

While reacting, King Osanga of Nasarawa United thanked the leadership of the Nasarawa State FA for the kind gestures towards the teams within the state.

“We want to assure you that as a team we will do all we can to make sure that our team goes as far as possible in this year’s FA Cup, he concluded”.

The highlight of the event saw the NSFA chairman, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima present the cash reward of N50,000 to Chiemere Matthew and N30,000 to Elias Victor for emerging the MVP and Best Goalkeeper respectively.
