The captain of Fr. Eburuaja FC, Mbadiwe Christian Nnamdi has expressed optimism of winning the 2024 Imo State Federation Cup, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
Fr Eburuaja FC will confront Ikukuoma FC in an all private-owned-clubs final billed for Saturday at the Old Stadium, Tetlow Road Owerri.
According to him, the team is ready for the battle while commending the Director of the club, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Eburuaja for putting smiles on the faces of the team.
He said: “We have been there. We got there last year and expected to be there this year. We are expecting to come home with the trophy. We thank our Director, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Eburuaja. We thank all the board of directors, we thank our coach and my fellow players.
“We are working hard and making everything possible to make sure that the trophy is ours. We want to put smiles on the face of Rev. Fr. Eburuaja and we ask God to be on our side. With our preparations and everything, we are going to come back with the trophy.
“We have prepared very well. The coach has done the necessary things. Everything will be seen in the field of play. We are very aware of the team we will play against. They are a great and wonderful team. We will go inside the field and battle it out. I am just hopeful that our CEO will sleep with another trophy.”
