As part of its activities to promote the March Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, 2024, David Omenukor Foundation, in partnership with Global Colon Cancer Association, over the weekend organised the blue hat and bow tie lecture awareness and live facial screening event at the Nguru community Secondary school Aboh Mbaise Imo State Nigeria.
The event was well attended by both students and teachers, who participated and learned how to avoid the scourge of Colorectal Cancer.
It was a very vibrant interactive session in which both students and teachers reaped bountiful harvest of knowledge, and everyone went home happy for the opportunity.
In his lecture, the Executive Director of David Omenuko Foundation, Dr Bright Ugochukwu educated the students and teachers on the need to prevent Colon Cancer and how blue hat bow tie has assisted in the world wild campaign against Colon Cancer and urged them to take the good message home and spread it to their parents in their communities across the state.
He urged them to reinforce the believe of Chief Executive Officer of David Omenuko Foundation, Dr Keyna Omenuko and Global Colon Cancer Association by encouraging citizens of the country to create awareness on prevention of Colon Cancer.
