The Junior Teranga Lions of Senegal have ended the hope of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles getting any medal at the ongoing 2023 African Games in Ghana.
Despite scoring first, the Flying Eagles succumbed to the firing power of the 10-man Senegalese team 3-2.
It was Charles Agada who put Nigeria ahead earlier in the game before Idriss Gueye scored twice to put Senegal in control.
Favour Izuogu levelled the game for Nigeria in the 50th minute before Famara Camara scored from the penalty spot to secure the victory for Senegal.
Nigeria had earlier in the competition lost to the Hippos of Uganda in the opening.
