One of Nigeria’s fast rising coaches is making the headlines and one of such is Ike ThankGod of Vandrezzer FC of Uyo, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
ThankGod, a formidable central defender during his active days as a professional footballer has risen through the ranks to emerge one of the best young coaches in the country.
Presently, Vandrezzer FC has witnessed a monumental shift in regards to the turmoil that had bedevilled the club years ago.
However, ThankGod, who took over as Head Coach of Vandrezzer FC in the 2022/2023 season, has recorded great results in the Nigeria National League.
The F.A Cup winner with Enyimba FC in 2016 during his active days, has led the Uyo-based side to an unbeaten run of four games, where he defeated Ekiti United and Madiba FC, while he drew the games against Beyond Limits and Abia Comets.
The Nigerian Best Player of the Year in 2008/2009 football season has continued to surmount the challenges at Vandrezzer FC as he looks forward to escape the drop in the NNL.
Aside an illustrious career, where he had stints with Heartland FC, Enyimba FC, Sunshine Stars, Warri Wolves and many others, his coaching and managerial career includes; Team Manager of Heartland from 2021 till date and Assistant Coach of Vandrezzer FC in 2022/2023.
