The Commande 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze Imo state, Brigadier General Usman Lawal said last December 2023 was the most peaceful in the state in the last few years.
He urged the citizens to continue working for the substance of peace in the state
The Brigade Commander stated this at the Golf Kitty to honour Commander Naval Base Oguta, Rear Admiral Steve Ibrahim over his promotion to the rank of Rear Admiral in the Nigeria Navy by Arsenal Country and Golf club Obinze Imo State.
The kitty which brought together the cream de la cream in the sports industry in the state, also witnessed the ceremony Tee Off by the celebrant Admiral Steve Ibrahim.
Others who teed off with him at the occasion include; the Brigade Commander who is the ground patron of the club and Eze Reach Achulonu Gedegwum of Orlu with the captain of the club Commodore Ogachi Osuagwu Rtd

Rear Admiral will proceed to a new position at the Naval headquarters Abuja was full of excitement at the honour by the club and said he embarked on the developmental efforts in his host communities as part of the non kinetic aspect of the service.
He noted that the act won him and his men the heart of the locals, who before now did not believe the military can also have their welfare at heart.
Speaking at the event, former SOLAD of Ehime Mbano, Hon. Chike Orjiaku commended the General for assisting in the revamp of the Oguta Golf Course and his other achievements in the area of security of life’s and property in the state and asked for more assistance from the military to safeguard the state.
The members and captain of the club presented a sent off plack to the outgoing commander of Cubana NNS Oguta.
