The Captain, Arsenal country and Golf Club Obinze, Imo State has revealed that plans are underway to honour Real Admiral Steve Ibrahim for his giant strides during his time in the area.

Speaking with Silvernews.com.ng, he commended the Real Admiral for ensuring that the Oguta Golf Course is back to life, which has turned out to be the best in East of the Niger.

“We are planning for promotion and sent forth kitty for the Cubana Oguta, Real Admiral Steve Ibrahim, who was recently promoted to the noble rank of Real Admiral.

“Unfortunately for us, he is been posted to Naval headquarters in Abuja. We are having a send forth kitty for him, telling him we appreciate him. We pray that God should guide him in the new place so that he can be able to prove his worth. The club is booming now and we have activities all weekend.

“We give kudos to him for being a commander that has taken the pains to revamp the Oguta Golf Club because it’s the best Golf Course we have South of the Niger.

“For now, we have gotten up to six and seven holes ready. It’s a gradual process. The good thing is that I am the chairman of the committee that is revamping the Oguta Golf Course. We have gotten to the place were we have a trial holes in that place.”
