3SC Petition NPFL Over Alleged Poor Officiating

The management of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC) has sent official petition against the 2016 FIFA badge referee Joseph Ogabor.

This wa following series of alleged poor handing of Match Day 19 of Nigeria Premier Football League tie between 3SC and Enyimba Football Club held at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Sunday.

The Executive Chairman of the Ibadan based outfit, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the Club’s office, Jericho Ibadan during a Media Parley held on Tuesday.

Honourable Olaniran who was once a top Nigerian Referee said the Management has watched the visual point over and over again including the one by Startimes and Propel but was surprised by the way the Cross Rivers State Referee Council handled the match overlooking a career wreckling legbooting inside box 18 of Enyimba against Shooting Stars player and other disallowed goal scored by the homers at the 95th minutes of the game.

“We have written a petition to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board to show displeasure about the officiating of our last home game against Enyimba and we await their response to that effect . We shall communicate to you once they conclude their investigation.

“It was a game that was probably the best game of the season by Gbenga Ogunbote’s boys but the officiating felt below par as it demoralized every single person that came to watch the good game at the stadium.”
