The National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) CSP Ebere Amaraizu has charged Students of Federal Government Boys College Apo in Federal Capital Territory Abuja to always remain focus ,purposeful,Law abiding and Eschewing those negative tendencies which is capable of shutting them from become a champion.Amaraizu gave the charge recently while on school engagement and sensitization program under Pocacov Inspire Activities with POCACOV Team on Sensitization and Reorientation Program targeted towards cutting supply chains and conveyor belts of Young persons possible recruitment into membership of unlawful Societies (Cultism),Organized Criminal Groups (OCGs) and other Vices.According to Amaraizu it is pertinent to know the choices we make in life .Some of the choices we make in life without considerations of the negative consequences might be injurious to our future endeavours .We have to know who is our friend and also focus our attentions on the reason why we are brought to school.This will help to reshape our mindsets.There are consequences for negative tendencies and wrong choices and it is better we know them now and avoid them to avoid regret.It is not easy for one to be a champion because a prospective champion will have a lot of personal sacrifice to make and importantly the self discipline and avoiding those negative influences from friends .The National Coordinator Pocacov however reminded them on the need to stay away from any distracting elements as it will contribute to ruin their future thereby not realizing their initial goal of becoming a champions .You should be able to ask yourself if what you are doing or about to do at any given time is capable of getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.Remember,Cultism and other vices will ruin your chances towards having a brighter future and that is why we are here to lay the message in order to save you from the evil claws of these vices .Adding his voice ,The Divisional Police Officer Apo Legislative Quarters Abuja CSP Chuks Ibe thanked the National Coordinator POCACOV and Team for finding time to visit the school which is in his area of Responsibility and reminded the students to continue to be law abiding in order to become champions of their dreams.Highlight of the Engagements was role play exercises on attributes of a champion and something that can stop one from becoming a champion as well as establishment of POCACOV volunteer clubs for safer school community.
POCACOV is an NPF Community Policing Initiative and Public Relations Tool working with different stakeholders and multi agencies ,galvanizing their support and partnership as well as enhancing participation towards problem solving for a safe ,peaceful and secured communities.
