All may not be well in the camp of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as reports indicates that the Federal Government palliative has thrown residents of Umuevu Onicha Mbaise in Imo State apart.

It was also gathered that the ugly incident may affect the chances of the state governor in the Imo State gubernatorial election in November.

Disclosing the ugly development to newsmen, the President-General of the community who is also a staunch supporter of Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chief Chris Nworgu said the palliative was shared by the APC ward Chairman of Onicha 3 ward 6, Mr. Chima Marcel Onuoha, who only singled out his political fellows as against the stern warning and directives of the progressive minded Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma. The Governor directed that the palliative should be shared to citizens irrespective of their political inclination but, Mr. Onuoha took the palliative to his house and invited his party members and shared it amongst them not minding that he was directed to share it at the polling units. The President General wondered why the party Ward Chairman should go against the directives of the Governor and that of the Sloe Administrator, Dr. Chukwuma Ojukwu, including his own reminder to him.
The village head ( Chairman of Aladimma) of Umuevu, Mr. Joseph Imoh expressed shock at the impunity and the lies of the the ward Chairman because the village summoned the ward Chairman and he claimed that the palliative does not concern the village but, that it was meant for the party members and that he was acting on instructions.
On his part, Dr. Edmund Onyeneho expressed disappointment at the behaviour of Mr. Onuoha, his lack of remorse and his brazen show of bravado. He opeined that such a character is not worthy of Public trust let alone hold such a sensitive position even as the village declared Mr. Onuoha a persona non grata and called on relevant authorities in the state to intervene by retrieving the palliative and distribute same among the people of the area and place sanctions on those trying to bring the re-election of the Governor to disorder among the people of the area.
