The Central Planning Committees of the 2023 Iriji Mbaise National festival has taken all necessary precautions in order to ensure a hitch- free Iriji festival this year as they have set up a powerful security commitee which is lialising with all security agencies in Mbaise in particular and Imo state in general.

The Chairman of the central planning committee Ezeji T U Nwala gave the assurance during a press conference held at Aboh Mbaise local government area.
In his address, Ejeji Iwuala, stated that the conference was by the authority of ndi Ezeji Mbaise, ndi Eze Mbaise as well as Ezurezu Mbaise, the Socio-Cultural organization of all Mbaise people and above all, on the authority of all Mbaise Citizens Worldwide which will take place at the Aboh Mbaise Stadium.
The Chairman stated that the committee has called on the Imo state government to reinforce the security apparatus in Imo state by involving the community vigilantes for the protection of the Communities and Mbaise people in Imo state, as he expressed joy that the Imo state government has approved some fund allocation to the various Town Unions in the state to help beef up local security
He reiterated that the community are doing all they can to ensure that the communities rise to the security challenges of this period to ensure safe participation of Mbaise citizens, the guests during the festival as they call on the town union to work in collaboration with all security agencies to help ensure adequate security during and beyond the period of the Iriji Mbaise festival.
Still Speaking, the Ezeji however, disclosed that the Mbaise Iriji festival was established by the ancestors and has been an annual festival since 1955 and remains the greatest cultural festival celebrated East of the Niger describing, ndi Ezeji as the custodians of the moral order of the society, the custodians of the land as they work in harmony with ndi Eze Ofo and ndi Isi ala, also, the 3 cultural institutions being the most vital for the survival as well as the spiritual health of the community including the maintenance of law and other.
He equally, used the opportunity once more to salute all Mbaise citizens and the benefactors all over the world, appreciated the immense financial and other forms of support from Mbaise indigene. stressing, that the central planning committee of the various 12 sub- commitee have shown enormous spirit of patriotism and selflessness in the organization of the 2023 Iriji Mbaise festival.
He thereby commended Mbaise sons and daughters in various government and private sector who have been supportive and selfless in discharging their roles in the successful hosting of the 2023: Iriji Mbaise Festival is a unique one in history, as therefore play special tribute to the 3 sole administrators of Aboh Mbaise the host LGA, Ahiazu Mbaise LGA and Ezinihitte LGA respectively who have been with the committee in their deliberations and activities.
