The Executive Chairman of Imo State Sports Commission, Prince Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna “Ambassador” has saluted Heartland Queens FC for bravery act in securing their first victory of the 2022/23 NWFL Premier league season.
The Sports Commission boss who made the commendation comments shortly after the teams away 0-1 victory in Sapele, Delta against Royal Queens described the girls performance as bravery and Spartan spirit assuring them of the commissions continued support.
“Am very delighted that’s just as I predicted after their last match at home against Rivers Angels FC, the the team will get better, the Girls have done the state and His Excellency, Sen Hope Uzodinma proud for their relentless support.
“They have once again exhibited that ‘Spartans Spirit’ that’s Imo athletes are made of and I want to urge them not to rest on their oars as the journey has just begun.
“We shall continue to give them the required support and motivation to spur them in not just avoiding relegation this season but bring more glories to the state.
