The Wakawaka Sports Extra Community Football League has been described as the answer to the development of the game in the country by football stakeholders across the country.
The stakeholders, who reacted to the news in various online platforms across the country said the program will go a long way in identifying potentials in the players at he grassroots level.
They noted that these players ordinarily would not have been spotted by football scouts who may not have the time to tour the communities to discover them
They believed that the league which kicks off next year will provide the needed information and documentation of players, coaches and other football officials and value change opportunity for football and sports related business across board.
Speaking on the league, the CEO of Wakawaka Sports Extra, Kennedy Onwunali recalled that when he introduced this pattern years ago in Surulere by moving players to play for clubsides gave opportunity to the youths as they were spotted and signed by bigger clubs from their community clubs.
He said the league is going to change the way people see football. Eight teams have already registered which will kick start in the first week of January after discussions between the teams and the league organisers.
