Anyanwu Partners ‘E-Dey Work Football Tournament, Promises To Empower Youths, Women

An All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, House of Assembly Candidate for Ahiazu Mbaise State Constituency in the 2023 General Elections, Hon. Nduka Anyanwu, has pledged to empower youths and women in the area.

Anyanwu told Wakawaka Sports Extra that his humanitarian gesture is geared towards eradicating poverty and other vices among the youths and women.

He described as ‘unfortunate’ neglect of the youths, noting that he will use his football team to empower the youths for them to realise their dreams.

Hon. Anyanwu revealed that he partnered Rev. Fr. Magnus Ebere of ‘E-Dey Work’ Ministries through his football tournament to help youths fulfil their potentials.

He called on well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to join hands in order to make the tournament an eventful one.

On his plans for residents of Ahiazu Mbaise, Hon. Anyanwu disclosed that his main focus is to pull the youths and women out of poverty through human capital investment.

“My main dream is to eradicate poverty from through empowerment.

“I am doing all these things for the youths because they are leaders of tomorrow.

“I am trying to use football to get the minds of the youths and rub minds with them to ascertain the area I could be of help to lift them out of poverty”, he said.

“If you look at the population of Nigeria today, you can see that we are over 200 million and the industries are very little to accommodate everyone. My main target is to see that I select good players and send them oversees to continue their future. The good players will be selected from the team and sent abroad.

“It’s a very good one and also the way the Rev. Fr. is helping the youths. This was what prompted me to join the team because he is a great man of God.

“Also, we need more partners that will help make the work easy and also partner with E-Dey Work FC to help the youths because they are the leaders of tomorrow.

“My main ambition of joining this race is to pull the youths and women out of poverty and human capital investment. When am elected, the first three months I resumes duty, I will start my work immediately in each ward in Ahiazu Mbaise.”

Ihite Uboma team will take on Obowo at the finals on Sunday at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri.
