Former Heartland FC of Owerri and National Under 17 Coach, Alphonsus Dike, has has called on football stakeholders in the country to support the newly elected leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
Coach Dike, who spoke to Wakawaka Sports Extra on the outcome of the election which produced the Zamfara FA Chairman as the 40th President of the Federation last Friday in Benin City, urged Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau to reposition the game in the country.
According him every football stakeholder should shield their swords and work towards the growth of the game in the country.
“Everybody need to be supportive and give him the opportunity to deliver on his job. We should also try and do things right, stop unnecessary betrayal but make constructive criticism.
“Failure of national teams as seen in the last adminstration are frustrating efforts where people violate rules of the game because of their position in the administration should not be tolerated by the president ever one should be guided by the rules governing football. because the president is a gentle man people should not take him for granted. Let everybody put hands together and give this man support and see Nigeria Football change.”
