We have tried to secure a secretariat, CAC certificate for coaches – Ladan Bosso

Veteran manager Ladan Bosso, has said that his tenure as the President of the Coaches’ Association has offered beacon of light as giant strides are been achieved.

Bosso, who spoke recently with Wakawaka Sports Extra, revealed the activities of the union while describing his colleagues as impatient towards their quest to attain greater heights.

Bosso led the Flying Eagles to the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada and now been appointed again by the Amaju Pinnick led administration, described the WAFU tournament as the toughest.

The renowned gaffer who is known to have knowledge of grassroots football in country and experience in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, said that the NIS training school is still producing top class coaches.

“We are talking about to better the coaching profession. No matter what the problem is we the coaches are problems of ourselves. When I was growing up as a young coach, I solely rely on my mentors.

“When I left Kano Pillars to Bauchi, it was late Coach Shiabu Amodu that negotiated for me even from Bayelsa United to Abia Warriors. The problem Coaches have today is that they don’t look for mentors but godfathers where we having some of these problems.

“Nevertheless, issues like this we should know what to do at any given time but thank God withing this our regime the excos of the coaches association we are doing extremely very well. We have tried to secure a secretariat, the CAC Certificate for the coaches. It is during our tenure that we secured the CAS.

“We knew what we did and got it right at the WAFU. Now we have a direction and easier to go. The idea is that we just have to go with it. The standard is progressing. The standard still remains with the product of scientific improved way of doing things.”
