Chairman, Bashlyks Sports House And Events Centre, Goodfaith Chibuzo Etuemena a.k.a. Bash has asked fans to expect a star performance this season from Turkey – based Nigerian striker, Francis Okwuchukwu Eze.
The striker on Wednesday signed a three-year contract with Turkish Professional Division One side, Eyupspor.
It was a major move by the Nigerian who has seen about three different seasons with different clubs including one with Super League side, Adana Demirspor in the European country.
Etuemena said the pacy striker feels strong and motivated by the latest development in his career.
One of Nigeria’s celebrated football club managers, Etuemena had flown into Turkey on Wednesday to witness Eze’s unveiling ceremony by Eyupspor which took place in the same club house he had taken Heartland Football Club players to during a tour in 2018.
“It was a magnificent ceremony in a magnificent club house and Eze was there radiating smiles and beaming confidence,” Etuemena recalled.
The former Heartland Football Club Chairman (Etuemena) said Eze was hoping to make a big statement through his performance when the new season starts.
Eze had a commendable run in the outgone season with Tuzlaspor where he scored eight goals and also gave many assists.
But he was in Tuzlaspor only on loan from Adana Demirspor with who he had a similar record in the previous season before going on loan.
Eze was discovered at the Nze R. A. Oforma Football Tournament in Ideato South LGA in 2018 where he won the Most Valuable Player award.
He was to later join Heartland Football Club Feeders from Orlu Football Club only to be promoted to the main team of Heartland after a stint.
Eze was spotted by Balikesirspor of Turkey as his first European team.
