POCACOV Celebrates Children’s Day With Anambra School Children



It was indeed memorable and full of fun as the Chairman of the Police Campaigns Against Cultism, Drugs Abuse And Other Vices Volunteer Club, Anambra State Chapter, Prince Orjika Donatus C.J, accompanied by POCACOV stakeholders, to celebrate with our school children, the 2022 Children’s Day held today, May 27,2022 at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.

The team which arrived the venue of the event while the march past was about beginning, admired the courage of our future leaders in bracing the tides and times to grace this year’s celebration; went round the various school groups and cheered them up with some copies of the p POCACOV Calendar as survenirs. He thanked His Excellency, Prof C.C Soludo, the Executive Governor, Anambra State for sponsoring this year’s events despite all odds and challenges facing the state at the moment.

The PVC Chairman,
enjoined schools children to remain good ambassadors of the greater tomorrow, by shunning all kinds of inclinations to violence, drugs abuse, Cultism, and other social vices which vitiates the peace, progress and prosperity of the society.

He called on Stakeholders across board in schools, communities, markets, Churches etc. to adopt, establish and support the presence and activities of POCACOV Volunteer Clubs, as a sustainable means to curbing and managing the increasing menace of youths restiveness, violence and killings across the country.

Without consistency and perseverance in the face of apperent hopelessness, in the campaigns for positive values he said, the society cannot be retrieved from the brinks of collapse stirring us in the face today.

Stakeholders across board he further enthused, must adopt the social theory of ‘Anomie’- the consciencious / sustainable economic policies of financial inclusion of youths without reservations, to close gaps on the growing disparities in wealth between the rich and the poor among Nigerians.

Prince Orjika insisted that all manner of social unrests and conflicts in human society and Nigeria not exception, are as propagated by Karl Marx, the inconveniences of class struggles for the scare means to ends; and called on policy makers to restructure the country to meet with the yearnings and aspirations of the common man.
