Head Coach of Owerri-based NLO side, Longinus Duru, has said that First Mahi FC will return to their base in Owerri and prepare for the Imo State FA Cup.
He stated this in a chat with Wakawaka Sports Extra shortly after his side’s final Nigeria League One, Division Two play-off game at Williams memorial secondary school Afuguri
Umuahia against Fresh Talents FC, which they won by two-nil.
The former Nigeria Int’l shot-stopper said that the preparations for the play-off was a short one noting that he will go back home and prepare for the Imo State FA Cup.
“I thank God for the victory and I didn’t expect that we will reach the level that we are. It was a one week preparation before the play off.
“We will go home to prepare for FA Cup and hope to do well there.”
