The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) in continuation with its ongoing Nationwide Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices under the POCACOV IN MY SCHOOL Activity on school 2 School Campaign against cultism ,substance and drug abuse,violent behaviours,bullying and other vices ,on 18/3/2022 visited Urhobo College Modern School Effurun Warri in Delta State .Students were sensitized on the dangers of belonging to Cult groups and indulging in vices but to always seek for that which will help them to achieve their ambition as future leaders and champions.They were also adviced on the issue identifying withi bad associate as friends and to promptly report to parents ,guardians and Principal on the event of any intimidation or coercision to join any group capable of exposing them to negative tendencies.They were also reminded on the need for self discovery as prospective leaders and to make better choices .The pricincipal of the School ,Mrs Patience Anwusi expressed happiness with the POCACOV Team and thanked the Nigeria Police Force on POCACOV Initiative and commended the efforts which she described as a right step from right direction..The National Coordinator POCACOV Csp Ebere Amaraizu was represented by chief Amb Awhana Alakis Mercy{JP} and Stephen Ejirefe Onojovwo amongst others.High point of the visit was the inauguration of POACACOV Volunteer Club in the school for continuation and regular school sensitization /campaign in the school.
The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) is the Nigeria Police Force Community Policing initiative working with different stakeholders and Multi Agencies and galvanizing their support and partnership,enhancing participation towards problem solving for a safe,peaceful and secured community and school.
