Nigeria Basketball Federation, Board Member and
Chairman Benue State Basketball Association Col. Samuel Ahmedu, has declared that the Musa Kida-led NBBF, will embrace anyone willing to chide its grievance.
Col Ahmedu stated this in an interview with Newsmen after the Elective Congress in Benin City, saying that the Kida-led Board will carry everyone, provided they are readily available for the progress of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).
The International Representative of the Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA),
went further to say that they won’t be deterred by some sinister moves to discredit the leadership of Kida, noting that it will be tantamount to an exercise in futility.
He also added that Kida will improve on what he did during his last tenure by ensuring that some loopholes discovered during the last four years were corrected.
“The elective congress went very well despite the postponement. When it’s time it can’t stop the moving train. Sometimes things happen for good. I want to first thank Engr. Kida for the good leadership he has shown. Everything is contributing to their quota. We have so many people to thank.
” It went well because the facts are clear enough. I’m also happy that it was transmitted live where FIBA was watching.
” We are not going to be carried away but we will bring everybody on board. You can’t force everybody into your plans.
” The President was elected and has his plans where he will improve from what he has done. Although, some mistakes were made we have learned our lessons.” He concluded
