Imo State Commissioner for youth and sports development Hon Dan Ogu yesterday dunked off the inaugural edition of Owerri Basketball Classic at the newly renovated Dan Anyiam Basketball Court.
The very colorful ceremony saw the commissioner unvailing the customized wears for the basketball classic tourny and displayed alot of Emotions after witnessing for the first time, great basketballers from Imo State being remembered by government corporate bodies or individuals with such funfair amidst loud ovation by the players and spectators.
With Hon Ogu dunking off the tournament, the stage was set for the classic clinic and 3*3 game and the game between Imo state Basketball Veterans who refubilished the court and the LOC team. The dunk off was won by the veterans.
A total of 150 players from the five states of the south east were well kitted by the chairman of the association Mr Kelechi Anosike who is the Chief Executive Officer of Kulupan investment company Ltd.
