The CEO of the youngest woman Football team in Nigeria, Imo strikes Queens, Prince Chidi has appreciated friends and well wishers of the club for their support to the team.
Prince Chidi said this when he received friends of the club who donated different types of sports equipment to the team.
This individuals includes Promise Chinonso Iwueke, Amaulu, Opara Uzochukwu wisdom, Ngozi Egbuchulam. This donors expressed willingness to associate with the club, and to also laud the impact made by the club in the last few months after it’s formation.
Speaking to wakawaka sports at the sports city in Owerri said the team will depart Imo state tomorrow Saturday 20 for the wives of the chief of Naval staff officers wife Under 17 championship in Abuja after returning home with a silver medal from the national youth games in Ilorin kwara state. They also lauded the state Commissioner for youth and sports Hon Dan Ogu, director of sports in Imo state sports Commission Mr Emmanuel Metu for their support to the team towards the tournament, Team coordinator Nelly Orisakwe, said the support from the state FA Chairman Mazi Amanzi Uchegbulam has also motivated the team to success and believe the trip to Abuja will be another opportunity to showcase to the world the young players in the state who has missed opportunity like this in the pass.
