Firstmahi Football Club of Owerri almost created the first major upset at the day two of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme tico/select tournament day two at the Owerri center when with the newly found team hit the wood work and lost a last minute opportunity to equalize against Heartland FC of Owerri.

The former Heartland FC coach, Onyegbula refused to speak to the media about the game but Soccer fans at the stadium believe the team gave the former league champions a good fight at the tournament.
First Mahi lost their first encounter at the tournament to Abia Warriors but put up a good fight against Heartland and will be facing Apex krane and Rivers United in their remaining fixtures.
