Qatar 2022 Race: Eagles shoot down Lone Star, set to devour Sharks on Tuesday

The Nigeria Super Eagles will continue it’s journey to book a place in the Qatar 2022 World Cup African Play-offs as the team square up against the ‘Blue Sharks’ of Cape Verde today at the Telsim Balogun Stadium.

The Nigeria Senior National team on Sunday evening touched down Nigeria on board a charted flight after a well fought battle against the ‘Lone Stars’of Liberia in Morroco.

Prior to the reverse fixture in Nigeria today, the Super Eagles claimed a (2-1) win against the ‘Blue Sharks’ before their own fans, all thanks to goals from Victor Osimhen and an own goal from Cape Verde defender, Rochas Santos.

Following the results after Matchday 5, the Super Eagles of needs only a draw in the fixture against the Cape Verde side for the team to book a place in the African Qatar 2022 Play-offs.
