Eke Nguru Mbaise and Relief market Owerri will this Sunday 14 November kick start the opening match of the Imo 3R Isamata football tournament for all the markets in Imo state at the Dan Anyiam stadium Owerri.
The draw for the tournament was held at the conference room of the ministry of commerce and Industry Owerri.
Present at the venue to witness the draw was the commissioner for youth and Sports Hon Dan Ogu, Isamata chairman Mr Ezeanochie Emmanuel immediate past Commissioner for commerce and Industry, organizing committee Chairman Mr Ifeanyi Igwe, members of the Imo state football association led by Mr Goddi Ndudi the FA Secretary and all the market masters in the state led by a former premier league referee Mr Chrisantus Okoro.
A total number of 29 markets across the state registered to participate in the competition, The Commissioner of sports Hon Chike Ogu said the government of Sanator Hope Uzodiama, places high premium to sports development in the state.
The competition according to the organizers will help discover hidden telents in the various markets across the state.
ISAMATA president, Hon Ezeanochie Emmanuel while closing down relief market Owerri on Sunday to unable the traders troop out to support their team.
He also said the competition will help create good atmosphere amongst the traders in the state and also enable them to know each other and have a relaxed mind,

And medical the local organizing committee chairman , Chief Ifeanyi Igwe said security agencies in the state will be around to provide security during the tournament while the para Medics across the 27 local government of the state will be available with their Ambulances to provide medical care during the competition.
It could be recalled that Players like former Nigeria International and Heartland goalkeeper and Coach Longinus Dura is a good ambassador of players discovered from a market competition years ago and he went on to play for the national team.
