IMSU Alumni association holds 4th global convention

The 4th Global Convention of the Imo State University Alumni Association held in Port Harcourt on Saturday 30th of October was indeed a huge success.

The convention brought together so many shinning stars which emanated from the academy. The President of the association Prince Ezeala Ferdinand Akano in his address said.

“It gives me great pleasure to stand on this podium once again to address the most important audience of my lifetime: the Global Convention of the Imo State University Alumni Association, an assemblage of the most beautiful, most wonderful, most resilient, most enlightened, most vibrant and dynamic, most altruistic, set of human beings I have ever associated with in my entire life!

I am speaking to you on behalf of the leadership, which you elected on 12th November, 2020 at the Alumni Association National Secretariat inside the Imo State University campus, Owerri, to steer the ship of the Alumni Association for another 2-year term. There is no authority more legitimate than the mandate from the OWNERS of the Association and this Convention is the seal of that legitimate authority and your physical participation is the stamp of that authority.

This Association comprises everyone, who has acquired a Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, Doctoral Degree and/or an Honorary Degree of the Imo State University, Owerri; and who is duly registered in and financially committed with a Chapter of the Association. There are currently ten Chapters of the Association namely: Abia, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Enugu, Europe, FCT, Imo, Lagos, Rivers and North America and it is heartwarming to state that new chapters in” He concluded.

Rt. Hon. Obinna Okwara (Chief Whip, Imo State House of Assembly); CP Eboka Friday (CP Rivers represented by ACP); Adm. Hon. Chief Willie Okolieogwo (ALGON Chairman, Imo State); Prof. Okee Okoro (Dean of Students Affairs, IMSU); Dr. Ibitoye Abosede (NDDC Director of Corporate Affairs); Hon. Chizobam O. Chizobam (representing Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo); Dr. Engr. Sir Charles Dike (Shell Petroleum representing UIPU); Dr. Olawale Fasakin (ANUA National Chairman); Hon. Chief Eke Ikechukwu Henry (ANUA Deputy Chairman) and many shining Stars graced the occasion.
