“I stepped into football to help the less privileged once” - Fr Magnus Ebere


The spiritual director of the Canaan land adoration ministries Revrend fr Dr Magnus Ebere revealed that God gave him the gift and ability to make the world a better place through supporting football.

Fr Ebere made this known when members of the Imo football association led by Sir Amanze Uchegbulam paid him a thank you visit for organizing the biggest football championship in the state this year.

Fr Ebere said “I have a gift which I must use to assist the world become a better place and that is the reason I stepped into Football, to help the less privilege once gifted by God to achieve their potentials.”

Fr Ebere who was excited by the visit also emphasized that God work through men for one vision to be achieved.
He further narrated how he decided to use the best football pitch in the state Dan Anyiam stadium to host the final or he will move the finals to another state to play the final game.

Putting out the request, it was rejected by the ministry of youth and sports the first time but when the chairman of the state Football association stepped in to to intervene, it was then the facility was approved.

He expressed his profound joy that the state Football boss will assist his dream of building a team that will stand the test of time.

It could be recalled that the ministry recently hosted the finals of E-dey work Football championship won by Owerri zone at the state capital which attracted over ten thousand visitors to the stadium
