Maureen Madu a member of the Super Falcons class of 99 said she is happy and overwhelmed with the reception and award presented to the team by the Nigeria Football Federation NFF at the AITEO/NFF awards ceremony held in Lagos
She admitted that the feeling was awesome and said; “for honouring us and recognizing us today gives lots of hope to the younger generation that are putting on the national colours now. It will make them fight for the nation knowing that you will be remembered tomorrow for the good work.
You don’t know the day your efforts will give you what you want.
I just want to say a very big thank you to God, federal republic of Nigeria and Nigeria football federation for the these wonderful award, thank you.”

She gave brief highlights on how they as a team succeeded.
“The team adopted a strategy, normally we size up our opponent in the first few minutes of our games and wait for the response of our opponent before we Finish them up.
Most importantly when you do a great job, they will honour you, as you can see today, everything is gone even if we have any grudges , today we are so happy as you can see. I and my colleague are so happy and so grateful and we thank everybody that supported us, we thank our fans and we thank even the people that made this event possible, we also thank the sponsors, and finally thanks to the Nigeria federation.” She concluded.
