The emergence of Barrister Mrs. Ngozi Pat Ekeji as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency has continued to attract widespread commendation and support from party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters across the constituency.
At the venue of the APC primary election, supporters erupted in celebration, chanting “Olaedo, Olaedo” as Mrs. Ekeji was declared the winner of the party primary. Many described her as a tested leader with a strong record of service, grassroots connection, and commitment to the wellbeing of the people.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Hon. Chioma Mbah congratulated Mrs. Ekeji on her emergence, describing her as a compassionate, humble, and people-oriented leader who has consistently shown concern for the welfare of others.
According to him, the former lawmaker has remained a source of inspiration to many because of her caring disposition and ability to relate with people from all walks of life.
“She is a lovely woman and an idol to many people because she always considers the feelings and wellbeing of others. She is always happy when people around her are happy, and she has continued to touch lives positively,” Mbah stated.
He added that her emergence as the APC flag bearer has renewed hope and excitement across the constituency, expressing confidence in her leadership capacity and commitment to grassroots development.
Also speaking, Mrs. Agwajimma Nwachukwu_Agbada described Mrs. Ekeji as “a wonderful woman” whose impact was greatly felt during her tenure in the Imo State House of Assembly.
According to her, the people of Aboh Mbaise remain optimistic that the APC candidate will achieve even greater results at the Federal House of Representatives.
“She is a very good representative for the Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency. Aboh Mbaise has tested her and she performed very well. Now that she is going to represent both Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala, we believe she will do more and achieve even better results,” she said.
Mrs. Agbada further described the APC candidate as a woman of substance whose political journey has positively influenced women across the constituency.
“The way she handled her politics projected women positively and showed that politics is not meant for men alone. Many women are now encouraged to aspire for political offices because of her example,” she added.
Stakeholders at the event also praised Mrs. Ekeji’s dedication to grassroots empowerment and delivery of democratic dividends, expressing optimism that her representation at the federal level would attract more development projects and opportunities to both Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala.
Hon. Chioma Mbah reaffirmed his support for the APC candidate and pledged to mobilize support for her ahead of the general elections, maintaining that her emergence marks a significant step toward quality representation for the constituency.
Also speaking, the councillor representing Nguruwe Nkwo Ward in the Aboh Mbaise Legislative Chamber Hon.Uchenna Maginus Odoemene alongside Hon. Uche Obinna, expressed confidence that the emergence of Barrister Ngozi Pat Ekeji would usher in the dividends of democracy to the people of the constituency.
The lawmakers noted that Mrs. Ekeji had consistently demonstrated commitment to grassroots development and empowerment through her previous engagements with the people.
They particularly recalled her signature skills acquisition programme for youths in Aboh Mbaise, which, according to them, has continued to produce skilled individuals who are now gainfully employed and supporting their families.
The duo urged party faithful and constituents to rally support for the APC candidate ahead of the general election, describing her as a tested and dependable leader with the capacity to deliver quality representation.
