The Technical Manager of Heartland FC, Emmanuel Amuneke, has commended the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his exceptional commitment to infrastructural development across the state, describing his efforts as transformational and impactful.
In a statement he signed and released through the Heartland Media Department, the club also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for visiting Imo State last Tuesday to commission several key infrastructural projects completed under Governor Uzodimma’s administration.
Among the landmark projects commissioned were the Owerri–Mbaise–Obowo–Umuahia Road, a vital corridor linking Imo and Abia States; the Assumpta/Control Post Twin Flyovers, designed to ease traffic congestion in the heart of Owerri; and the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, a modern facility that positions Imo as a destination for international and national events among others.
The club further highlighted the President’s participation at the public presentation of the book “A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria”, authored by Governor Uzodimma, as a demonstration of accountability, leadership, and alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking on behalf of the club, Heartland FC Technical Manager and former African Footballer of the Year, Emmanuel Amuneke who witnessed the epoch making occasion in company of the club’s players and officials, praised the governor’s foresight and dedication, noting that these infrastructural projects extend beyond aesthetics to serve as enablers of economic growth, social harmony, and sporting excellence.
“Governor Hope Uzodimma has shown what visionary leadership looks like,” Amuneke said. “These projects are not just roads and flyovers—they are the arteries of development that make life easier for citizens, boost commerce, and provide the kind of environment in which sports like football can thrive. The presence of President Tinubu to commission these works speaks volumes about their significance.”
Amuneke added that the improved infrastructure will directly benefit sports and club operations in Imo State, enhancing training logistics, fan accessibility, and overall matchday experience as the team prepares for the start of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season next month.
