Nwagwu Health Initiative Extends Free Eye Care to Surgery Beneficiaries

By Silvernews

The Nwagwu Health Initiative has announced a special round of free medical check-ups for beneficiaries of its August 2025 eye surgeries in Aboh Mbaise, Imo State.

The follow-up exercise is scheduled to begin on September 12, 2025, at Trans Amadi Holiday Resort Limited, Obetiti Autonomous Community, Aboh Mbaise LGA, from 7:00 a.m. daily.

In a statement, Anselm Onyeananam, coordinator of the AVM Uche Nwagwu Medical Outreach, explained that the checks are targeted exclusively at those who underwent surgeries during last month’s outreach.

“These medical check-ups are absolutely free,” he said, encouraging all beneficiaries to turn up for the follow-up care.

The Nwagwu Health Initiative, founded by Air Vice Marshal Uche Nwagwu has in recent years become a beacon of community healthcare support in rural areas, offering free medical services to thousands who cannot afford regular hospital care.
