The people of Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State has thrown their weight behind the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC for the State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr Chima Akuzie, saying that it is time to use their votes to reciprocate the love he has been showing to them.
They gave the assurance recently when the candidate tour the whole Ward with his team from Monday to Saturday.
Akuzie was massively welcomed by the people at each of the Wards, and was assured of their support.
The Ward Chairmen who were also with him in the tour, disclosed that as he, Akuzie has been truly tested and trusted before now, that they are assuring him of using the few days remaining before the election comes, to canvass and sensitize their people about the poll.
Speaking to newsmen, Onuoha Chibuzo Nathaniel from Umuneke Ugiri Community, who has been supporting the candidate with his ambition, stated, “Chima Akuzie is like a brother to me, he has helped me alot in life, that whatever I am today is because of him and God. He took me from grass to grace and I have vowed to myself that whatever thing he does, I will be there to stand by him, and will never disappoint him. So whatever am doing now to support him, is to pay him back in the little way I can.
“I call on you all, our people to come together, let’s work as a team and deliver him because he is the person that will take us to the promise land. He is a person that has been tested and trusted. I have met lots of others contesting for this position and they have been calling me to join them, but I said no, because Chima is a man that will say a thing and stand by it, unlike most of them.
“I have known him for a long time now and I know he will never change. I don’t see anything that will change him cause he is already made in life. He began as a nobody in life and now he is somebody who dedicates his life, and wealth in helping the needy”.
Adding his voice, Hon. High Chief Bonaventure Mahakwe Nwigwe; former Councilor of Ogbaru LGA in Anambra State, and the Director General of Chima Akuzie Campaign Organization, described a leader as one who is “integrity personified and invariably unassuming. He is one who identifies with the calls and aspiration of his people. He is the acclaimed mirror through which the social value of his people come true, and Chima Akuzie is all of this.
“God has given us a leader in the person of Chima Akuzie, who is a friend not just to everyone, but also the governor of the state, which is why most structures have collapsed for him. As a grassroot mobilizer he is a friend of the youth, and at his age, he still plays football with them every Sunday. He has also empowered a lot of youths as most of them are playing football locally and internationally. He has been friendly to the old, the less privileged ones, and even the rich. He is always accessible which is why he is gaining the much attention he is getting.
“As it is his normal ritual when he takes up any office, he has promised to drop his 4 years salary as a lawmaker for the Development of Isiala Mbano LGA. The first one year salary he said will go to Osu Clan, the second to Ugiri Clan, the third to Mbama Clan and the last to the less Privileged ones in the society, ‘Niwgwe disclosed.
He further called on the people to support Akuzie, saying that he has never disappointed and will not do so in future.
