The second edition of the Owerri Basketball Classic will finally get underway in the Eastern Heartland as players and officials from all the participating teams have arrived the Imo State capital.
The stage is set and the city is agog in high spirit to be part of the epoch making event as over one hundred and seventeen players started arriving Owerri from the early hours of yesterday.
The Basketball fiesta will commence this morning, 21st April 2022, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Basketball Court.
On their part, the local and main Organizing Committee have been putting finishing touches in the facilities to ensure there is a hitch free competition.
The participating teams are categorized as follows; Joyce Ekworomadu – Team Ekworomadu (Umuahia, Abia) USA, Ndidi Madu – Team Madu, (Isuikwuato, Abia) USA, Adaora Elonu – Team Elonu (Okpatu, Enugu) USA, Chukwudi Maduabum – Team Chu (Utuh, Anambra) USA, Ike Diogu – Team Somtochukwu
(Isiala Mbano, Imo) USA, Kelechi Anuna – Team Kelechi Anuna (Mbieri, Imo) USA.
