The second edition of the Owerri Basketball Classic will dunk off tomorrow at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Basketball Court.
The highly anticipated annual basketball fiesta is gathering momentum as teams and spectator’s across the country have started arriving the state capital Owerri to watch the historical event.
Teams drawn from the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones, will feature top stars of the game in the country and a foreign professional from Cameroon.
The partnership of corporate individuals led by the CEO of Orange Room Owerri and the sponsorship of the Most Valuable Player by Ikenga Johjuld Okere, will among others highlights and arouse the participation of other cooperate organizations in the next edition.

The South-South Zone will feature teams from Rivers State, Cross-River State, Akwa Ibom State, Delta State, Bayelsa State and Edo State.
Meanwhile, organisers have called on residents of Imo State to utilise this opportunity by partaking in the epoch making event, saying that it will bring the state to limelight in the basketball scene.
